The truth is in Nature

Originating in Ribatejo, it was in the production of olive oil that the Cardoso Family began to stand out. The search for new properties for the expansion of production led to the discovery of the world of wine production.

From Ribatejo, the work, investments and, above all, the passion and respect for nature and all that it offers spread first to the Alentejo, where the Cardoso Family has owned the Herdade da Lisboa since 2011. The history of this property includes the iconic Paço dos Infantes wines, popular in the 80s and 90s and recovered, in recent years, by the Cardoso Family.

In the Douro, it is at Quinta do Reguengo and since 2018 that the Cardoso Family has been creating a renewed wine project. This property, which was once a royal property, has the Douro River as a neighbor and as an inspiration for the creation of wines and future Port Wines that pay tribute to the World Heritage region.

In the three regions (Douro, Alentejo and Ribatejo), the Cardoso Family has 300 hectares of vineyards, 700 hectares of olive groves and 400 hectares of forest.

In Natura veritas est. The truth is in Nature.

"It is in Nature that we find the basis of all the work of the Cardoso Family, whether in the vineyard or in the olive grove, whether in the North or South. Therefore, Nature assumes a central and unifying role for our properties and also for our Family. As if it were Family, we treat our Nature with all the passion, care and respect it deserves".

João Cardoso
